The secret to a moist, cake-like cake is a combination of lemon juice, brown sugar and cocoa powder.
As with the recipe for King Cake, the cake recipe for Lemon Cake is quite simple.
If you don’t have a cake pan, you can bake in the oven at 350 degrees F (170 degrees C) for about 25 minutes.
To finish the lemon cake, place it on a sheet pan with a layer of parchment paper.
Sprinkle with 1 teaspoon vanilla extract and a teaspoon of sugar and bake until the cake is just starting to set, about 25 to 30 minutes.
