By Axios staffPublished March 04, 2019 12:23AMWASHINGTON — President Donald Trump and Vice President Joe Biden have “special relationship” with the nuclear industry, but the two have differed on other issues, according to a new Axios/Morning Consult poll.
In a series of three interviews with voters, Axios found that both Trump and the vice president have been supportive of nuclear energy, but Trump has more reservations about the U.S. nuclear industry than Biden.
Trump and Biden also had somewhat different views about climate change.
The president and vice president are both “not opposed” to climate change, according the poll.
But the vice presidency said she wants to see “a coordinated approach” to address the problem, while Trump said he was not in favor of a “global carbon tax.”
The poll also found that most voters believe Trump and Pence “have the temperament to be president,” while only 28 percent believe they have the temperament for the job.
The poll surveyed 1,005 adults online between March 2 and March 4, surveying 1,000 voters by landline and cellphone.
