RTE’s RTE Moon cakes, biscuits, chocolate bars and ice creams are being released for the first time ever at the Belfast City Hall on the banks of the River Meander.RTE Mooncakes, biscuits and chocolate bars will be available for purchase from 5pm to 9pm on Friday, April 7.
They will be accompanied by a Moon cake tasting and a moon cake competition.
“The event aims to celebrate the many beautiful things that are happening on this amazing Earth and the Moon,” said Noel D’Aguirre, the festival’s head chef.

Rte Mooncakes are made from raw ingredients sourced from around the world and include cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, cloves and nutmeg seeds.
Belfast City Hall is also hosting the Belfast International Moon Cake Festival from April 21-28.
