The sweet and sour flavors of strawberries and cakes may be different, but they’re still both great for you to enjoy, says Jennifer Jelinski, RD, an RD for a nutritionist who works at the National Institutes of Health.
You can eat them in the same way as you would a traditional fruit salad or smoothie: with lots of fresh veggies and the tangy strawberry flavor.
Here’s a look at what you need to know.
Strawberry and cake both have the same health benefits Strawberry cakes have a high glycemic index, which means they trigger insulin resistance when they are consumed.
They’re also high in sugar, which may lead to type 2 diabetes, says Dr. Jelinsky.
So while strawberries are good for you, the health benefits aren’t the same for all strawberries.
Strawberries aren’t just for dessert If you’re a sugar-craving dieter, you may be disappointed to find out that strawberries aren’t a dessert.
They contain sugar and fiber, and there’s no real reason to eat them if you’re trying to lose weight, says Jelinskis.
You’re more likely to want to eat your favorite fruit at home instead of at a buffet.
Strawberry cakes aren’t as sweet as traditional fruit cake When it came to making a cake, the taste of strawberries is usually what got the most people’s attention.
But it’s actually the sweetness of the strawberry that makes them really good, says Dieter Hoeppner, MD, an assistant professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School.
In the real world, the sugar in strawberries is actually quite bitter, so if you’ve been eating too many strawberries, you might not want to try to eat a whole cup.
You might also want to go for something like a lemon or lime cake instead.
Strawbies are a good source of antioxidants Strawberries are rich in vitamin C and beta-carotene, which can help you lower your risk of heart disease and cancer, according to the American Heart Association.
And while they’re not as nutritious as a regular fruit, they’re also more fattening than the sugar-filled ones, which are generally full of fat and sugar.
Strawbeers are delicious, but can be hard to find in stores Strawberries can be difficult to find because they’re grown in the tropics, so they’re usually grown in a warmer climate.
But there are some sources that sell them at supermarkets and restaurants, says Jenny Hensley, RD and co-founder of the Natural Strawberry and Banana Club.
Some stores have them on sale at the farmer’s market, but you can also get them online or through Amazon.com.
Straws are good to eat right after a meal Strawberries also contain fiber, which helps to digest foods and lower your blood sugar levels.
It’s also good for your heart.
In a study published in the journal Nutrition in 2016, researchers looked at how strawberries affect blood pressure in subjects.
They found that the sugar and vitamin C in strawberries reduced blood pressure by about 25 percent after a few days.
Straw berries are rich sources of vitamin C But don’t get discouraged just yet.
It can take a little time to notice the difference in taste between strawberries and strawberries, says Hens, so the benefits are not as immediate.
That’s why you may want to wait until the strawberries are fresh and tasting good before adding them to a recipe.
Straw berry can help with acne and skin problems Strawberries contain a natural anti-inflammatory agent called niacin, which has been shown to reduce acne.
And they also contain vitamin C, which is known to reduce the risk of skin cancer, says dietitian Dr. Elizabeth Hausner, RD. 9.
Straw can help combat osteoporosis, obesity, and diabetes If you have type 2, you could be at higher risk for osteoparasitic bone loss if you eat a lot of strawberries, which could increase your risk for type 2.
But if you have a healthy diet and don’t have any diabetes, strawberries aren to your liking, according Dr. Haus, who is also the author of the book Healthy Strawberry Recipes.
Dr. Daniel A. Klein, PhD, a professor of preventive medicine at the University of California, San Francisco, recommends eating a few strawberries a day for good health, especially if you get more than one serving of strawberries a week.
He adds that strawberries are also rich in protein and iron.
Straw is a good substitute for eggs eggs are a favorite choice for many people, especially when they’re making their own jams, jams and jellies.
But some of the healthiest and most nutritious foods you can make with eggs come from other fruits, such as strawberries and apricots.
These fruits contain lots of fiber and protein, and if
